La Tavola Italiana è un gruppo di persone accomunate da una passione per l’Italia, la sua cultura, arte, musica, e, ovviamente, la sua cucina! Siamo un gruppo informale che si incontra regolarmente per parlare Italiano, mangiare bene, ascoltare musica, e bere buon vino. Ci raccontiamo storie interessanti, ci scambiamo ricette, e formiamo nuove amicizie.

Sergio, che ha fondato la Tavola Italiana (Boston) insieme a Cinzia, aveva inizialmente ventilato l’idea nell’autunno del 2003, durante un pranzo a Davis Square con tre amiche. Sebbene il gruppo sia adesso molto più numeroso del nucleo iniziale, La Tavola Italiana rimane contenuta ed intima. Nuovi membri, invitati dai membri attuali, continuano ad unirsi al gruppo e ad arricchire ulteriormente i nostri ritrovi.

La data di nascita della Tavola Italiana è il 12 Gennaio 2004, giorno in cui si è tenuto il primo ritrovo. Tipicamente i ritrovi sono a casa di uno dei membri del gruppo, ma talvolta abbiamo scelto un ristorante Italiano o un parco pubblico. In ogni caso, i ritrovi sono sempre un’occasione per divertirsi e rilassarsi all’Italiana!

About Us

La Tavola Italiana is a unique group of people who share a love of Italy, its culture, its people, its music, and, of course, its cuisine! We are an informal group that meets regularly to speak Italian, eat good food, enjoy music, and drink fine wine. Interesting stories are shared, recipes are exchanged, and friendships are formed.

Sergio, co-founder of La Tavola Italiana (Boston) together with Cynthia, initially mentioned the idea of starting such a group in the fall of 2003 while having lunch in Davis Square with three friends. Although the group is now much larger than the original five, La Tavola Italiana remains small and intimate. New members, invited by current members, continue to join the group and to further enrich our dynamic and stimulating Tavola Italiana gatherings.

The first Tavola Italiana was held on Monday, January 12, 2004. The locations of our meetings vary each time, most often within a member’s home. Sometime an Italian restaurant is chosen, or a public park or beach. Whatever the case, it is a time for fun and relaxation, Italian style!
